Access Marketing, an independent travel marketing and consulting firm, was founded in response to the demand for expertise in marketing and promotion of U.S. travel products. The office, centrally located in downtown Toronto, provide public relations and marketing services to the Canadian travel and tourism industry.

Memberships include: OMCA - Ontario Motor Coach Association, ANTOR - Association of National Tourist Office Representatives, TMAC - Travel Media Association of Canada and the SeeAmerica Committee - Canada.

Areas of expertise include: strategic implementation of tourism marketing programs; travel industry sales missions; consumer and trade information services; trade and consumer shows; travel agent/tour operator familiarization tours; and media relations/journalist tours.

Joanne Scalamogna is the founder and sole proprietor of Access Marketing. Prior to establishing Access Marketing, she managed the USTTA - United States Travel & Tourism Administration's Travel USA program in Canada, and acted as liaison between USTTA and state/city/regional tourism organizations. Her accomplishments include the smooth transition of USTTA's consumer information services to a private contractor, including all aspects of training in product knowledge and customer service. She also successfully transferred the Travel USA information program from a 1-800 to a 1-900 operation, the first organization in Canada to provide such a service. Joanne attended York University. She has worked for the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA Travel), Bell Canada, and the Government of Ontario. Joanne maintains close client relationships to ensure that expectations are met and, whenever possible, surpassed. A member of IFWTO and SKAL International, few people have a better feel for the pulse of the Canadian travel industry than Ms. Scalamogna.
